| Start your quilting journey with me in this fun, supportive and encouraging series. This progression of six 2-1/2 hour classes will provide a firm foundation of the basic elements of quilt making. We will make six simple blocks and cover fabric choices and color, tools, accurate rotary cutting and machine piecing, and all the other supporting skills needed to have a successful start. If you know how to sew a straight seam, then you are qualified to join in! My goal is to eliminate frustration and intimidation and encourage you to enjoy this time-honored art form. Come into the shop and look at the class sample. When you’re done with the class, YOU will be a quilt maker! |

| So, have you ever wanted to learn how to "draw" your own designs from a favorite photo and create a one-of-a-kind piece of fabric art in the form of a quilt? This class is for you! The sewing machine needle is like an artist's pencil, and the fabric foundation is like an artist's sketch pad. Choose one of Sue's patterns or one of your own photos. We have many of Sue’s finished quilts on our class room wall – come in and admire her artistry. In the “curves” portion of the class I will teach you how to do a beautiful filigree-type of motif that is beautiful and easy to do-you haven’t seen this type of motif on quilts before. In the “feathers” portion of this class I will teach you how to do the beautiful, curvy, feminine feathers that you see on some of the finest quilts-without the use of stencils.
